Laura Taillebois visits MFL

Laura_MFL_140225_croppedDr Laura Taillebois is working at the MFL until end of March 2014.

Laura is a postdoctoral fellow from the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods at Charles Darwin University.

Laura and colleagues from the Northern Territory are collaborating with MFL on a project “Optimising the management of tropical reef fish through the development of indigenous scientific capacity”.

During her stay at MFL, Laura will be optimising microsatellite loci for two species; the Golden Snapper (Lutjanus johnii) and the Black Jewfish (Protonibea diacanthus).
